Here are some pictures of (mostly robotic) devices and products that I have either helped design/build or have used in my work. Since screen shots of software products tend to be boring, I’ve skipped them for the most part.

When sales reps pick up an account, one of the first things they do is build out an “influence map.” The influence map is essentially a map showing:
- who knows who
- who influences whom
In the early days of Spoke, a few of us were responsible for evangelizing the idea and selling the product. I “owned” the Documentum account… And this picture shows my influence map at Documentum. Note that this was automatically generated by the product!
Pictures from General Motors
I had a great time at GM building “intelligent assist devices” that transformed the material handling industry from poorly controlled pneumatic systems to sophisticated computer controlled human amplification systems… This picture shows me with an early prototype for taking doors off of cars.
The automotive assembly plant is a wonder unto itself. If you ever get a chance to visit one, grab it. The picture below shows a zillion robots welding the body to give it structural integrity.
