Prasad Akella, Ph.D.
Dr. Prasad Akella is Vice President and Head, SME Marketing at SAP.
Prasad is an entrepreneur and intrapreneur who created the Social Networks category as a founder of the social network pioneer, Spoke Software, and developed Intelligent Assist Devices while at GM. He is an executive with a wide range of global, functional, and vertical experiences.
Prasad holds a PhD from Stanford, an MBA from the Ross Business School at Michigan, and a BS from IIT Madras. He has received many awards for his work in robotics and social networks. He has three United States patents (with more under review) for his seminal work on Social Networks while at Spoke Software and on fraud detection while at Cydelity.
